First Community Bank and Trust Provides Free Service to Community

Beecher, Illinois - September 1, 2011 - On Saturday, September 10 First Community Bank and Trust will sponsor its semi-annual Document Disposal Day at their Peotone location, 650 Wilmington Road. Everyone is invited to bring their old or unneeded documents to be shredded on site. "Anyone who has been a victim of identity theft knows how frustrating it can be to restore your name and credit standing," said First Community Bank and Trust's President, Greg Ohlendorf. "This is something we are pleased to offer to individuals and businesses in our community to help protect them," he added.

Simply bring the paper to be shredded in bags or boxes to First Community Bank and Trust in Peotone between 9:00-11:00 am. Shred-X, the company providing the shredding service, will do the rest. There is no charge and all types of office paper are accepted, including file folders, green bar paper, carbonless paper, letterhead, envelopes, etc. For more information, please contact the bank at 708-946-2246 or 708-258-0530.
