To send money, log in to First eBanc and look for Popmoney on the Landing Page or in First ePay. (Popmoney is only available to First ePay users.) Choose your account, then enter the recipient's email address or mobile phone number and the amount to be sent. You can even make it special by adding a note or by using one of our eGreetings. Click submit and you're done!
The recipient will receive an email or text message notifying them of the transaction and instructing them how to direct the funds to their checking or savings account. If your recipient's financial institution is part of the Popmoney network, they can complete the transaction from their own financial institution's online banking site. If not, they can go to Popmoney.com to direct the funds to their bank account. Funds may be available in the recipient's checking or savings account as early as one business day from the date they accept the funds. Once the money has been accepted, the recipient will receive a confirmation email with the date the funds will be in their account and you will be notified when the transaction has been completed.
Recipients have ten days in which to accept the funds. After that time period, the transaction will be cancelled and the payment amount will be returned to your account.
Did you pay for the team's uniforms and now need to be reimbursed from several people? Did your brother forget to pay his share of Mom's birthday gift? Not only is it easy to send money, but you can also receive money from others as well. Requests are initiated through First ePay by selecting the Popmoney tab. There you will enter the email address or mobile phone number of the person from whom you are requesting money, the amount and purpose of the request, and the account to which the funds should be deposited. If you are requesting money from several people, you can add up to five contacts for a group request.
The person(s) you are requesting money from will receive a text message or email with the request along with instructions on how to forward the funds through their financial institution or Popmoney.com. You will then be notified when the request has been completed.
- Popmoney automatically stores your contacts' information from your transactions for future use. To send or receive money using a contact from a previous transaction, simply select their name from the Contacts list and the information will automatically be inserted. You can also edit the contact's information as needed.
- The Activity tab shows transaction history, scheduled payments and sent requests. It will display all of the information about each transaction including the date, from, to, amount and status. It also allows you to search for specific transactions by date, amount, name or category. Transactions can also be downloaded to an Excel spreadsheet or .csv file.
- The Preferences tab is where your information is kept. Here you can change your email address, phone number or any other personal information.
